All great things to have been brought into this world have started small. Sometimes so delicate that a mere whisper can disrupt it´s very existence. “Like the tiny seed that with the suns love becomes a juniper bush. Like the young boar that bursts into life and becomes a magnificent creature.”

 

Much like that was I, not yet born, not yet created, but in 2014 only a tiny idea in the distant thoughts of my oblivious makers…

 

Lorenz, a fourth-generation wine maker, was travelling the southern borders of Europe on a quest to clench the thirst for creation running through his veins, when he stumbled upon the whirlwind of tastes in the Spanish Ginebra.

 

Simultaneously, in another corner of the continent, was Marco. In the land of Sherlock Holmes and the Queen, exploring his fascination in the symbiosis of food and drink he was being unmindfully seduced by the world of Gin.

 

My story however, begins later, in a small village at the edge of the woods, at the foot of the hilly Wachau valley where two friends realised a common passion.

A few experiences richer, over a traditional Austrian dinner, with pinewood from the shores of the Danube crackling in the fire, the idea of bringing me to life was born.
